Alison Vicroy joined Dixie State University’s Office of General Counsel in 2018. As the Assistant General Counsel, General Compliance Manager and Investigator, Alison provides legal advice, strategic leadership, and oversight of all compliance-related activities across DSU departments. Her practice areas include policy development and review, contract law, constitutional compliance, and public records law. She also teaches Criminal Law in DSU’s Criminal Justice Department. Alison earned her J.D. at the University of New Mexico School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. During law school, she served as President of the UNM Student Health Law Association and as a Teaching Fellow in the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program. Prior to her legal career, Alison served the State of Texas as a preparedness epidemiologist investigating and responding to disease outbreaks and other public health emergencies. A native of central Ohio, Alison earned her B.A. in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience at Kenyon College and studied Veterinary Public Health at The Ohio State University.
